She received her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from Drexel University in 2005 and her Doctor of Nursing practice from York College in 2018. She has been caring for heart failure patient for almost 20 years, with a special interest in palliative care utilization and advanced heart failure recognition. She is a member of the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and is a Certified Heart Failure Nurse. She is a past member of the Certification Board for the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses and was a previous item writer for the Heart failure certification exam.
